We visited this cemetery many years ago and I was simply enthralled by both its beauty, location and history. Burials from the early 1800s, including one that, as mentioned on his grave stone, was a Frenchman who had fled Robespierre's Reign of Terror in France. We love to explore cemeteries and Mt. Hope has been the best so far. Trivia-it makes two cameo appearances in the movie "Pet Sematary".
Also has a ton of history! Take the guided walk it's totally worth it!

I was blown away by the kindness shown to me by the staff at Mount Hope Cemetery. They went out of their way to place a stake on my great uncle's grave and kept it their for two weeks until I was able to visit his grave. Thank you so much!
