-Clean, well maintained.
-The seats aren't very comfortable and could be updated.
The concessions are okay though I usually only ever get popcorn, but every time I've asked for a slice of pizza as promoted on their menus, they say they don't have pizza at the time so that's a little frustrating, especially when the hot dog is disgusting.
Comfortable seats and big screen, great movie experience - thanks to WKIT for organizing the Stephen King Halloween event.
I love this place for the seats...that is if you get the theaters closest to the main entrance. They're slowly making the seats better theater by theater I think. They also over charge for popcorn and such but that's to be expected at all theaters because I think that's where they make most of their revenue. Portions of ticket sales go to the actual movie makers themselves. The screens, sounds, and actual presentation is fantastic as well as their staff. I love that it's immediately after the highway as well. Great planning o n their part however many decades ago. Their DRIVE IN is fantastic as well. I recommend bringing a picnic dinner with you in the car, then getting popcorn at the concessions during intermission. Their clown clips are a bit creepy too but they screen a lot of oldie intermissions.
Overall, I prefer this theater to the 'cheap seats' on Odlin Road as it is continually a pleasant experience barring a few minor bumps that I can overlook. I especially love the rewards program which crosses over with the Drive-In during the warmer months (however, the Drive-In have soft pretzels listed at $10 which is ridiculous and worthless for the quality of the product).
Great theater.
-The decor is very bland. There should be a certain amount of fun and excitement involved with going out to the theater.
June 2017 Edit: Finally encountered the Ticket Checker (oft called Nazi but that's too extreme) and the way he spoke to my father, a man in his late 50s was rude and condescending when all my father received from the ticket stand was two receipts vs a receipt and his ticket. The situation was resolved quickly when a manager was called over who SIMPLY said my father was okay to go in upon showing his receipt. So beware when he's standing guard and always make sure to have your ticket, especially when leaving for a potty break mid-show. But avoid at all costs. It's very uncomfortable to be in that situation, even not directly. I hardly wish for people to be fired but the Ticket Taker has consistently acted like this for many years now with little to no change seen.
Pros:
-Self service multi flavor soda fountain (with free refills).
The theaters themselves are spacious, well maintained and have comfortable, adjustable seats, however, they do need to work on temperature control as it's consistently cold in the theater which is not good considering 1/3 of Maine's year is winter. Even in the summer time I've had to were a jacket because the a/c was too powerful.
We saw a good movie. Staff were very nice and helpful. Enjoyed the experience.
-Decent arcade to enjoy while you are waiting for your movie.
The ticket prices are fair and reasonable, especially if one goes during the day and doesn't see a 3D show. Usually about $7 if I recall correctly.
-There is one employee that seems to take the theater experience very seriously and that is appreciated.
-Free popcorn flavorings.
