The environment is NOT QUIET and I don't suggest you go here for a romantic date. This is more of a "Hey we like to have fun and eat great food" kind of place.
Just had our favorite pork carnitas with revisions the waitress Sandra remembered us from several visits ago and remembered our special revisions to our order. She is amazing! As always the food was awesome!
I went to Las Palapas tonight with my family and I had a great time. The waiter was fantastic. The food was perfect. I like how the waiters and waitresses work great as a team. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. I am hooked on going there.

I've been to the southwest, I've been to Mexico. Las Palapas serves many of the traditional Mexican foods that Americans are used to, but they also have some surprises on the menu. They are the only place in the area that serve tamales, so far as I know, and they're good! The service is very good, very quick, the servings are generous and the food is tasty. They make a very good salsa in house. I'd say they are both a good eating experience and an excellent value.
