Went to Ground Round Bangor Maine..was a thrill cuz as a kid in Milford CT my birthday was at ground round. Ashley our server was pleasant,knowledgeable,and the manger relived our youth with baseball sundae hate with them comped. We tipped well and bought one tee shirt.. thanks for a blast from the past. The food was top notch with scallops and shrimp pasta and cream sauce out of this world. My other halfs bacon cheeseburger was juicy and perfectly cooked medium cooked. The place is well maintained..bring the business back to CT.
The house hot sauce is amazing. It has an awesome kick. I come here often for their wings just because their house hot sauce is so good. The only problem I have is their younger night hostesses have a horrible attitude problem and I have encountered then a few times. Particularly the red headed one. She rolled her eyes at me and groaned when in pointed out she got my take out order wrong and tried to blame me. Typically I enjoy this establishment but the last 3 encounters makes me reconsider my rating.
Ground Round used be a nice place to go to dinner without breaking your bank.. Now 2 adults.. 2 kids (kids eating off kids menu) water for drinks and no desert or appetizers.. Bill comes to over $50. Food is OK but not $50 good. Same family similar order at roadhouse is under $40 and better food. Tried lunch here a few weeks ago.. Lunch menu is so small unless you want a burger you are out of luck. Used to love Ground Round.. Now not so much.
Terrible meal. Cold fries with excessively salty cornbeef in a Ruben . Used to have decent meals. Rather than adjust the bill was given a free dessert. Apparently the dippers are worth 12.00.. would not recommend to a starving homeless person.. only good thing was being here with my daughter and granddaughter.
Went to Ground Round for nachos and beverage. Ordered the Outrageous Nachos with beef. Waitress brought them and there was no lettuce and tomatoes. I was hard pressed to find any beef. She took them back and added lettuce and tomatoes. Was very disappounted in them. When it was mentioned to our server when she finally showed up her response was "depends on who the cook is, on how they are made". I wont be going back anytime soon. Very disappointed in service and food. Never had this issue in all the years going there.
