I remember when Moe's opened up here, it was delicious then and it's delicious now. The pulled pork and ribs have always been their specialty but they make everything they create taste good. The meal-of-the-day is always a hit, and the sides are very good albeit a little small depending on how good you think it is! The prices are good and include free refills and extra sauce. They also improved their pavement parking which is nice. I'm very glad to have them in town.
Best wings in Bangor. Great 'Redneck nachos' and rotating sides. Specials keep everything fresh and there's always something new to try. Plus where else can you get southern style Sweet Tea in Maine?
Delicious. Had the Cuban pulled pork on Sunday. Friendly service and very attentive. Slaw was nice. Not too wet, not too dry and not overly sweet. Good and crisp, not soggy and soft. Corn bread was butter toasted on a side and yummy.
I have had everything on the menu and I love it all, though I love the brisket and ribs best. Moe's has the best customer service anywhere (other restaurants take notice !) Laura and I want them to cater our wedding. We go there at least once a week. Totally recommend this restaurant.
Some of the best BBQ in Maine, partially because they make a good product and partially because Maine needs better BBQ. On a 1-10 scale using Texas as a basis for comparison, I've heard they rank a 6 or 7, which is fantastic for this area. Their ribs taste smoked but feel boiled, which is a sin; their wings are fantastic, the pulled pork is great, the brisket is good, the chicken is ok, and their sides vary by dish but overall are better than middle-of-the-road. The service *always* comes with a smile and it's a great atmosphere, especially if it were more full more often. This place would do better in a proper restaurant building rather than a prior fast food location, as they could compete with local fare without very much difficulty. I would encourage BBQ lovers in or visiting Maine to go here, not as a novelty or a must-have-experience but to quench BBQ cravings effectively.
