I will give them a second chance. Maybe this was just a fluke or maybe things were not understood correctly and I need to speak slower and clearer.
They even forgot to secure it back together fully. I know we make mistakes being human but first impressions an all...
Great service. Quality tires at reasonal price. Good sales. Bought nice tires today, buy 3 get one free. Shop Your Way points are an added bonus. Discounts on oil change and service for Uber drivers. I also buy the road hazard which has always pays for itself. Free rotation for their tires.
Had a state inspection on Saturday, told everything's good except one of the tires was low on tread and tried to sell me a new pair. Didn't take it since I have another set of tires. So went back to the place with my own tires. After changed my rear tires, they told me right away I need a new lower ball joint. Except that, the inspection sheet was literally blank, which makes you think they already made somethings in their minds, one after another, you're not going to get away without they are done getting money out of your pocket.
Oil change took 90 minutes. Poor customer service. No one offered an apology for the wait as I paid for the oil change while struggling to keep my frustrated 1-year old placated. I chose this location because I knew I would be able to entertain my child for at least 45 minutes in the mall, but I didn't anticipate an hour and a half. Would have been less miffed had someone simply said "sorry for the wait".
Auto Center employees failed to complete an oil change, they drained the oil but never filled it back up, and they let us pay and drive off with no oil in the tank. This type of error on such a basic car maintenance service is unacceptable, and Sears provides essentially no method for direct contact to discuss compensation for necessary repairs.
A friend suggested I use Sears to get a company vehicle looked at, to fix a few issues. I mentioned the issues to the guy at the front desk and ( he was quite perturbed with his coworkers and it showed as his remarks were cut and dry, appeared that his politeness went out the window, but I kept my manners and went on. ) They said it needed this and that, I politely declined, that is not the issue. I had this done and that done a few months ago... So I figured hey, maybe they know what they are talking about. Who knows. Give them a try.. They are mechanics after all and I am not.
What I am not happy about is they did work on it, did not fix the issue I had told them about... I outright upfront told them the issue and they seemed to just brush it off like I had never driven this vehicle in my life. Even on the phone they said they would take it out for a test drive, did they? No, this is after the guy on the phone told me that they would have someone do that... I understand people are busy or forget and can't always be attentive to everyone's requests but I expect if someone says they are going to do something, they would do it.
These were my first impressions. Lets hope my second impressions are better.
{Edit}
I took a walk, it got done after about an hour or so which was great to hear. Said they had to do some work on it, no big deal. And found an issue with the other part and it would come in sooner than the competitors which I am happy to hear also...
