Bathroom was not clean, hair and dirt on the floor. The tub also had hair and soap scum from the person before. I've been a housekeeper for years so I know when to give the cleaning staff a break but I also can tell when there's zero effort put in. At 9:30am, we woke to a loud knock and then a woman trying to get in. Her key worked perfectly fine for our room, luckily we had the chain on. She immediately apologized, shut the door and walked away but what a way to wake up.
As others suggested it's a bit dated (no ironing board, fridge, or microwave). They have a CRT television and a coffee maker. Rooms aren't dirty but done just barely good enough. Breakfast is nothing but high sugary cereals, donuts, and english muffins (I know, this diet isn't an issue with everyone)
Staff attitude was fine, their cleaning abilities were lacking. If I had to guess, I'd say a 2 year old cleaned the tub/shower, actually scratch that, my 2 year old could of done a better job. If I could load pictures, you'd be able to see all the God knows what it was lining the tub. Miscellaneous hairs and soap scum and probably mold. Everything else was fine, but for $60 a night I wasn't expecting much.
You get what you pay for, it is decent for its price. Now saying that stained sheets and dirt in shower floor. The morning staff so much nicer then night staff.
The front desk staff gave me a great rate without a reservation after my flight was cancelled out of Bangor. I had been hiking on the Appalachian Trail, and just needed a place a crash for the night, but what I received was so much more. The staff was very friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and I was able to rest comfortably after a fresh hot meal was delivered to my room. Thank you!
