The check-in was quick and efficient. We were told that if there was any problem at all, we were to call their office directly. Hah!! We did have a problem (all the "reminder lights" on the dash board began to circulate - oil, mechanics, tires, etc. And did anyone answer? No. After 20 minutes we gave up and decided to drive on as we were not in a place with any garages or Enterprise. We took the car back a day early and asked for a days credit. Nope...didn't matter how inconvenienced we were. We could have another car and a gas credit (which didn't help much) but that was all. We found when we were at the office, they don't answer the phone if they are busy at the counter. We would have had better luck to call the main number. I usually rent from Enterprise, but will have a 2nd think next time.
This isn't the place where I originally got the rental car but when I got a flat tire these people were very nice, very friendly and most importantly very helpful.
I had an amazing experience with Enterprise. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They conveniently had a shuttle pick me up from the airport and take me to their office. The office is just a short ride from the airport. I was set up in my rental and on my way in no time. The vehicle, a Nissan Sentra, was very spacious and drove like a dream. Upon returning the vehicle, I was shuttled back to the airport. This was a stress-free experience. In addition, I am a debit card holder that intentionally does not have a credit card. I was informed there are several car rental companies that will not rent a vehicle to you if you do not have a credit card. This was not an issue with Enterprise.
Enterprise service is always very pleasant; but we arrived in late evening for our rental, and things in Portland were a bit disorganized. Couldn't find the car in the garage; it smelled of smoke; we didn't do the walk-around; and no one told us the drop-off location in Bangor was way off airport, with no street markings. The Impala ran very well, and it was not a gas guzzler. Drop-off charges are ridiculously high.
Fast service in and out. The location is still about 8 minutes away from the airport so keep that in mind when returning. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Has pick up trucks!
